Anticipatory Grief

Alzheimer’s: Coping with Alzheimer’s disease (AD) does not have to be a lonely experience. A support group is now available to give care givers a chance to share their feelings with others who do understand because they, too, have a loved one with dementia. Supervised activities that offer fun and friendship are provided for those with AD.  Call the parish office (704-364-5431) to find out more about our Shining Stars Respite program and support groups.  Visit the
Alzheimer’s Association here.

Memorial Garden for Children

The St. Gabriel “Guardian Angel Memorial Garden” was built to remember the unborn and children who have died through the age of 18. It is located next to the children’s playground, which is behind the grotto. Enter the path at the entrance of the lovely arbor and follow the stone path where there is a place to sit and enjoy the peace you will find here. The statue of a beautiful angel overlooks the garden.
