Forever Young (75+) October  Luncheon

Come join us for lunch and entertainment on Friday, October 27, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm in the Ministry Center.  RSVP to the Parish Office at 704-364-5431 by October 23.

Our Mission: To provide the parishioners of St. Gabriel who are of the age of 75 and over, a fun environment and the opportunity to join together in fellowship.


St. Gabriel Artists Group

Spiritual Writers Group

Interested in spiritual writing?  Do you feel God is nudging you to write?  Join a small group of writers using our individual talents to write from the heart and who like to share their personal experiences about writing with others.  We plan to meet monthly and welcome you to join us at our next meeting on Thursday, January 26, from 7:30 - 9:00 pm in the Ministry Center.  RSVP to Cathy Esposito at cesposito@stgabrielchurch.org or 704-362-5047,  ext. 276.  Questions?  Contact Judy O’Toole at 704-684-5600.


 

Women’s Fun & Fit Exercise Group 

Looking for a way to exercise and socialize at the same time?  Our Fun & Fit weekly class for women 55+ meets in the Ministry Center on Tuesdays from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.  It is a chair exercise class to upbeat music, using stretch bands and streamers to strengthen the upper body.  Classes are free and include time to socialize.  New participants are welcome to join anytime!  Lunch, Bunco or birthday celebrations often take place after the class.  Contact Laurel Hamber at laurelcardinali@gmail.com with questions.  


 

St. Gabriels O.W.L.S. (60 +) October Meeting

The next meeting of the St. Gabriel O.W.L.S. (60+) will take place on Wednesday, October 18, at 10:30 am in the Ministry Center.  Singer Marty Vanderlip will provide entertainment, and lunch will be catered by Culinary Solutions.

RSVP must be received by Friday, October 13.  Donation is $8 for members and $10 for guests, by reservation only.  Membership dues $10/year are due. A Call to Serve the Homeless:  An Evening with Kathy Izard

Wednesday, October 25 - 6:30 pm - Ministry Center

Do you have a heart for the homeless?  Join us for an engaging evening with author, speaker, and former Urban Ministries Development Director, Kathy Izard.    Along with building Moore Place for the Charlotte’s chronically homeless, she found faith, forgiveness, and fulfillment.  Kathy’s inspirational journey, shared in her book ,The Hundred Story Home:  A  Journey of Homelessness, Hope, and Healing, will encourage you to fulfill your own calling and purpose.  No RSVP needed.


 

 Human Trafficking Movie and Speaker Event
Thursday, October 26 - Ministry Center - 6:30 to 9:00 pm

Join us for a free movie and speaker event to learn more about Human Trafficking in our community and in North Carolina.  Event is free.   Donations accepted to benefit  victims of trafficking
