The A/V team plays an important role in our worship experience - ensuring that the equipment and audio and visual content of each service runs smoothly.
WHO? Adults, older teens, and college students
WHEN? Serve 1 or 2 times a month at a Saturday Vigil or Sunday Mass, arriving 20 minutes before Mass begins
VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
Slide Operater
This is the easiest role to grasp and get started with. This person operates ProPresenter to display the slides used during Mass for all congregational responses and music lyrics, shown on our 9 am livestream. This role is about timing and concentration.
For the Saturday Vigil and Sunday 7:30 am Masses, this role is as easy as turning mixer channels on/off. For other Masses with a full music team, this person operates the audio mixer throughout the service. A love of music and a great ear for sound are ideal. This volunteer might also have an audio engineering background.
This role operates our 4 cameras and switches between the live cameras, slide loops, and lyric overlays for our livestream. Working closely with the slide operator, this person can multitask and has a good eye for composition. We only livestream the 9:00 am Mass.
Each Mass has an assigned A/V Lead from one of the 3 positions above. This person will be responsible for making sure the above stations are ready to go before Mass, for resetting all the stations after Mass, and leaving the A/V booth ready for the next Mass.
