Our 1980s and early 2000s technology no longer works and is not prudent to repair. Sound quality and hearing-impaired assistance have been problematic for years.
We are the only big parish in Charlotte without live-streaming, and our aged projector has required us to find repair parts on eBay.
Our lighting control panel is from the early 1970s - repurposed from our former church building.
Our security technology and door-entry system need to be modernized.
Our 40-year old sound system stopped working this summer, and our temporary system is not a long-term solution. This year has also underscored the need for live-streaming and recording, to stay connected as a parish.
Modernizing will periodically interrupt the use of the church during installation. Undertaking this while Mass attendance is lower due to the pandemic is optimal. Let’s be ready when many more can join us!
Our project investment will be $250k - including design, equipment, and installation.
We are well on our way - deeply grateful that $70k has already been contributed for this project.
