Peace be with you and your families! The Holy Land and U.S. bishops have called for a day of personal and communal prayer and fasting this Tuesday, October 17, for peace and reconciliation in the Holy Land. I invite you to come for an hour of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the Rosary at either of the times below, as we unite in prayer with the Church worldwide. Let us also ask for the intercessory prayers of St. Ignatius of Antioch (modern day Syria), a martyr and Church father, whose memorial is also this Tuesday.
Please join us Tuesday, October 17:
Morning
8:15 am Mass
9:00 am Rosary
9:00 - 10:00 am Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
Evening
6:00 pm Rosary
6:00 - 7:00 pm Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
Fasting and Abstinence
As a sacrifice, we are asked to abstain from eating meat and to fast (eat just one full meal and two separate meals that do not equal a full meal).
Peace in Christ,
Fr. Richard
