Our international missions outreach is guided by Fr. Mike Mitchell, our parochial vicar, whose work as a missionary in Haiti and Guatemala provides direct connections to our outreach opportunities.
OUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT of the works of mercy in these highly impoverished areas helps to alleviate suffering and bring Christ's message of hope, love, and salvation to so many.

Mt. Carmel Mission is located in the extremely poor, southeast part of Guatemala. Due to seismic (earthquake-related) fatigue, their current chapel has been declared unusable by the government.
So many people have migrated to this area to work in the coffee bean harvesting industry (supplying Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, and others), that Mt. Carmel and other local parishes are overcrowded.
Our financial support will help rebuild the walls and wooden roof for the chapel (a temporary fix), with an ultimate goal of building a new church building.
Sr. Paesie is the founder of a Catholic women's religious community in Haiti, running orphanages and schools serving more than 1,000 children who live in extreme poverty in Port-au-Prince, City Soleil.
A $10 donation will provide one month of lunches for 1 child: rice, beans, and occasional protein.
