Our international missions outreach began in 2021, guided by our previous parochial vicar, Fr. Mike Mitchell, whose work as a missionary in Haiti and Guatemala provided direct connections to our outreach opportunities.
OUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT of the works of mercy in these highly impoverished areas helps to alleviate suffering and bring Christ's message of hope, love, and salvation to so many.
El Carmen Mission is located in the extremely poor, southeast part of Guatemala. Due to seismic (earthquake-related) fatigue, their current chapel has been declared unusable by the government.
So many people have migrated to this area to work in the coffee bean harvesting industry (supplying Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, and others), that El Carmen and other local parishes are overcrowded.

Our annual mission trip helps people in this highly impoverished area with critical home repairs and brings the Good News of Jesus through vacation Bible school, home visits, and providing basic health supplies. Our next trip is July 2024.
Sr. Paesie is the founder of a Catholic women's religious community in Haiti, running orphanages and schools serving more than 1,000 children who live in extreme poverty in Port-au-Prince, City Soleil.
A $10 donation will provide one month of lunches for 1 child: rice, beans, and occasional protein.
