We are called to reach people for Christ, to be his representatives and presence in the world. As we serve our brothers and sisters in need and bring Christ's saving love into our community, we seek to grow in relationship with Jesus, as his disciples.
Our outreach efforts are strategically focused on several specific areas addressing hunger, homelessness, poverty, pregnancy and battered women's support - with the desire to openly share Christ's hope and message with those we serve.
We have strategically selected a limited number of Catholic and local agencies as sustainable partners, concentrating our parish outreach efforts - volunteering and financial support - with them. Focusing on a small number of partnerships - already selected for the coming year - enables us to make a greater impact and use volunteer and staff resources more effectively.
There are many other worthwhile charitable organizations and opportunities in our community. We encourage parishioners to serve and support these directly, as desired.
Our Charitable Outreach Ministry is led by a team of parishioners, with guidance from our pastor and pastoral care staff. Their responsibilities include making strategic decisions about the scope and focus of our outreach efforts, planning and overseeing outreach work, and managing our outreach funds.
Our ministry members seek to grow in relationship with Jesus as active members of our parish through worship at Mass and investing time to grow spiritually.
