Fr. Mike comes from a large family of ten kids. His oldest brother is also a Catholic priest and resides in the Diocese of Erie, Pennsylvania. His father was an Air Force officer, which caused the family to grow up all around the country and the world. He has been a priest now for nine years, cutting his teeth as a young priest in Haiti and Latin America as a missionary. He oversaw humanitarian projects (homes, schools and wells) as well as some evangelization projects (church building and catechism). Fr. Mike considers himself a down-to-earth type priest, trying to be honest and unpretentious in preaching homilies. He hopes to be a merciful, caring priest who meets people where they are at. He loves to spend time getting to know people, especially spending time with senior citizens. He is looking forward to many shared meals and frequent encounters at parish events!
